Brett Allen is a certified National Association of Realtors (NAR) ePRO Instructor and the Washington Association of Realtors Technology Educator. He is a Realtor with eXp Realty & actively invests in real estate. While Brett can teach e-PRO nationwide, he primarily focuses on teaching this designation to Realtors in the Northwest region including Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Utah, Montana and Nevada.
Speaking & Training
In addition to teaching e-PRO and technology and online marketing CE courses, Brett offers hands-on workshops and provides corporate training. Brett enjoys meeting with people to demystify technology and help those who are excited to learn! Brett offers honorariums for non-real estate industries.
Early Career
With a BA from Brigham Young University in English and Linguistics & Computers in the Humanities (i.e. Instructional Technology), Brett worked as a technical communicator for the semiconductor manufacturing giant, Brooks Automation in their AutoSimulations Division (now a part of Applied Materials). There he created online Help systems for software and authored many technical documents including a dozen+ technical manuals, white papers, API User guides, release notes and technical training. During this time, Brett also began providing Web consulting for Realtors in his extra time.
In 2001, Brett added real estate investing to his plate. By 2004, Brett’s entrepreneurial spirit overcame his desire for a W-2 lifestyle. He kicked his cube and corporate America to the curb to focus on investing and consulting.
As it turned out, others were interested in his perspective, stories and guidance, so Brett combined his love for technical communication and real estate and created eComprehend. If you need a guide to help you navigate the sea of social media and emerging technology, Brett is your guy.
Personal Life
Brett lives in Port Ludlow, WA a quiet exurban bay-side community west of Seattle. He enjoys splashing in, above & under the Puget Sound waters. Brett is also a family man and therefore, a failing golfer.
